Sending & Deliverability Policy

Last updated June 29, 2026

indiecast is bulk email for independent developers. We take recipient consent and deliverability seriously: for our senders, for their subscribers, and for the shared reputation of everyone on the platform. This page summarizes the practices that keep our sending clean.

Permission & consent

Senders may only email contacts who have explicitly opted in to hear from them. Purchased, rented, scraped, or otherwise non-consented lists are strictly prohibited under our Terms. Each sender is the controller of their own contact data and is responsible for the lawful basis to contact every recipient.

Unsubscribe: one click, honored immediately

Every email we send includes a visible one-click unsubscribe link and a standards-compliantList-Unsubscribe / List-Unsubscribe-Post header (RFC 8058), so mail clients can offer a native unsubscribe button. Unsubscribes are processed immediately and the contact is suppressed from all future sends, campaigns and automated sequences alike.

Bounce & complaint handling

We consume Amazon SES bounce and complaint feedback in real time (via SNS). A permanent (hard) bounce or a spam complaint automatically suppresses the affected contact, removing them from any further mail. We do not retry permanently-failed addresses.

Reputation protection

Sending is monitored per workspace. Any sender whose bounce rate exceeds roughly 5% or whose complaint rate exceeds roughly 0.1% over a rolling window is automatically paused before it can harm wider deliverability. Each workspace also sends under its own isolated SES tenant, so one sender's list quality cannot drag down another's.

Authentication

All mail is authenticated with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC on our sending domains. Custom sending domains are verified (DKIM) before any mail is sent from them; until a domain is verified, bulk sending from it is blocked.

Sender identification

Every email clearly identifies its sender and reply-to address and carries the required unsubscribe mechanism. We do not allow misleading headers or subject lines.

Reporting abuse

To report a deliverability or abuse concern, email son@sonokinetic.com. We investigate and act on reports promptly, including suspending senders who violate this policy.
